LFJ – Finally some progress…

The advantage in using a pattern for a second time, the fitting is already done and the whole process moves much faster.

103_0528Moving from thread tracing the quilting lines, quilting the 13 pieces, then basting the bodice together seemed to take forever.

103_0530 I bought the Dritz Ham Holder, something only another sewer would understand. It made it easier to steam and shape the sleeve caps. It’s not pretty, but it works to hold the ham in place. Somewhere I read a suggestion of using a football tee (for American football, that is) which is likely cheaper. I think if I had my ham resting in a football tee, someone around here would likely try to give it a good kick.

And finally… sleeves. Yeah! Now for some time doing some hand work and exploration of possible trims. This may take a while.
